The newest model in Mini-Circuit’s SSG signal generator family reaches a whole new level of testing and design potential. The SSG-6400HS can produce signals with frequencies as low as 250 kHz and as high as 6400 MHz with a frequency resolution finer than 0.01 Hz. It also offers AM, PM, FM, and pulse modulation capabilities.

Housed in a compact and rugged metal housing that measures 11” x 8.5” x 2.15”, the generator comes with a power adapter and both a USB and an RJ45 network cable, either of which can be used to control the unit. Simply install the user-friendly GUI software from the included CD and you can immediately begin using the generator.

The Fujitsu WiMAX SoC, MB87M3400, fully complies with the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard using an OFDM PHY. The SoC can operate in TDD or FDD modes and supports all the available channel bandwidths from 1.75MHz up to 20MHz bandwidths.

A programmable frequency selection generates the sample clock for any desired bandwidth. When applying 64QAM modulation in a 20MHz channel and using all 192 sub-carriers, the chip can sustain up to 100Mbps peak raw data speed. Uplink subchannelization is supported as defined in the standard.
