Wired Wi-Fi or WiGig for enhancing Range

You have a big office of 3 Floors or a Home which is not Wi-Fi Friendly and it does not have the provision for LAN or any other wiring. Even a distant room/garage or basement beyond the Wi-Fi range.

If we could build a Wired interface for Wi-Fi and WiGig then such rooms can be brought within range. A wired interface without wires, then you think of optics, not even optic fiber .... that will build up the cost for home networks.

Wave Guide may be an answer, a wire that pretends to be a waveguide. Let us take a thin flexible plastic tube, 2-3 mm in dia, 1mm wall thickness of tube. The outer wall of the 3mm tube is coated with a suitable copper alloy. Above that a thick insulation to protect from mechanical damage. This may act as a waveguide if properly designed, probably the way or pattern in which the metal is coated.

If this works in theory, then Pump RF on one end with a little more juice, just like in Optic fibers. The other end may get enough signal strength for good speed connectivity. It will at least be still wi-fi on waveguide and easier to implement than RJ45, these LAN cables, connectors and switches include many components and modules, that make it very fussy and unreliable.

Wi-Fi seems to be very friendly and safety has also improved now. So a wired, one wire or waveguide to extend Wi-Fi can phase out the RJ45. I like RJ45 similar to the sentiments i have for the Printer Port and RS232. Then USB has just taken over. Change is inevitable, Find a way out of RJ45 for good.

DTH for Software Downloads and Updates

Here is an example how i feel a DTH portal can interleave with interactive optical/wireless networks on land.

Let us assume Simtel has a DTH Channel. They broadcast MS updates from 10.00 AM to 10.30 AM. Linux updates at 11.00AM and Mac at 9.00 AM. All updates, some repetitive in gzip format and a advance xml feed indicating and enabling parsing of content on a digital device.

From 1.00 PM to 5.00 PM is subscriber time. "Your favorite software is 'played' at these times". A user can use his phone or tablet to request a media. paid or free. All software will be broadcast at the time slot. With a xml feed/sitemap.

The user transfers the software from dth box to his computer using usb/lan. If he has been mailed dual layer decrypt keys he will be able to unzip the paid software. Else he can look thru the formatted/presented xml for any free software/media he would like to use.

DTH software providers can monetize using software developers to publicize their demo versions. Other firms from computers to toothbrush providers can give a "Media Promotion Pack" with wallpapers/freeware/video/audio/presentations and discounted/free offers.

DTT an interweave of WiMax and DTH

DTT - Direct To Tablet is a Technology, That is required in the communication Infrastructure, both for wireless and wireline networking. At Least till Optic Fibers Reach Every home.

If the Satellite Broadcasting Technology and RF Wireless Semiconductor Technology, advances fast. It may be Possible for DTT as a small module in the Tablet. This is TV on Tablet with Interactivity, as we have TCP/IP as well on Wi-Fi. This method does not load the TCP/IP infrastructure with HD Videos or Audio.

The other way is Intermesh WiMax with DTH to make Interactive TV on Tablet. The HD Media is requested by a Net Protocol, then it is got form Sattelite on Local DTH and comes to Tablet over WiMax. This way a HD Video need not travel a long distance, around the globe, causing traffic jams.

I am sure, still nobody got me, or what i am talking of, but its is pleasant that way. Here is an image i had done a couple of years back. Try incremental levitation of the thought process, then you shall perceive a Tux on the Clouds.

Directly or Indirectly it is Tux who has made tablets possible in most all of the tablets you see today. They have made it happen. - In fact all are, some admit, some do not.

Enterprise Level Hardware and Software can be extrapolated from this idea for a SOHO. An Enterprise is like a SOHO Cluster. One big Homogeneous Entity is unstable and unreliable. When small varied, self-dependent entities collaborate to form an Enterprise, it is a Cluster of SOHOs, which is a Reliable and Resilient Entity.

So if 6-12 people are using computers, many desktops need not be on. Tablets, Laptops and Notebooks consume less power and run on batteries.
